Drained

I feel so tired these days, ever since we'd started preparing for the seminar :(

The workload is really heavy, and I had to sub for Wei Quan yesterday. It was exceedingly exhausting. Even after 12.5 hours of sleep, I am still feeling lethargic.

Today was rather uneventful. It wasn't very fulfilling, but it was altogether a relaxing day. I'd pigged out non stop with Teddy! Qi Le joined us, but he did not consume as much junk as we did. I blame it on the unlimited supply of Rocky. It is so addictive. And everyone likes Rocky. Its like a rule or something. And if they don't, they should :)

First I went to 7 Eleven with Qi Le to get Chipsters for Teddy and I. It was his treat! :D Then all three of us walked to CHS (to work up an appetite), only to realise that everything was sold out. Then we'd walked to Kanna to get currypuffs and ice cream! What an awesome combo!

Suffice to say, I was stuffed. All these unhealthy goodness were my lunch. I already am finding it absolutely trying to fit into my trousers. It is very impossible to find a comfortable sitting position with my current size.

I hope that I still weigh the same as last time. I would go ballistic and sob buckets should I approach 50kg! Of all things, I would not face that kind of reality! I don't care if my BMI states that I am underweight. Looks matter most. And it is most depressing to say that I am fat.

F.A.T.

Today I went on a cleaning spree in TTC. I don't know what exactly was my problem (probably a little OCD in action). I sprayed the entire Gasing TTC with Anti-bacterial Febreze. I even went into the Domino's block classrooms to de-germ the couches and rooms. I shudder at the thought of the bacteria at all surfaces!

Okay I've gotta go back to doing my notes. Can't stray for too long! Goodbye :)

At the Heart of KL

Farewell, British Council.

After classes today, I went for lunch with my classmates at KLCC.
I ordered lasagné as I craved Italian food. Scrumptious! :9

Yet, the serving size was a tad too generous, I'd say.

I didn't manage to finish it. I feel terribly guilty for that. But I knew full well that should I stomach another mouth of lasagné, the entire portion that I had wolfed down earlier on would come back up.

And that would be very disgusting.

So, after my lunch I walked back to the British Council. I nearly couldn't find my way back! There were roadsigns, DUH, but seeing that I am hopeless at navigating my way around, I did not depend on those fickle things.

It was only then, that I realised that I had much to discover about KL.

I want to walk about the city like a tourist someday. Not travel around in a car, but to just drink in the air and feel everything. I want to do those touristy things, like pose for photos in front of buildings with bad architecture, find my way around using a map (I'd need help for this bit xD) and enjoy the sunshine at the hour of its glory.

This year, I really want to experience life. But I don't want to do those aforementioned things alone. It'd be too dull! And happiness should be shared -- it's only right.

I suppose that I'm a city person, in and out. The concrete jungle beckons at me, and there is something alluring about it. I know this sounds erroneous, but it feels that way to me. The sights of buildings -- designed and crafted by humans, captivate me. More so than God-bestowed nature.

Uh oh, I feel guilty for saying that again.

Time well spent

Good evening, people!! I'm still at TTC.

Tonight I added loads of new words into my vocabulary building exercise.
Which is an awesome thing :D

This time I'm really determined to finish this up -- there'll be no more 三分钟热度 for me anymore! I'm only studying ONE subject, and if I suck at it, then I really don't deserve to live.

That isn't exactly considered being harsh on myself, is it?

Well, today was quite fruitful altogether. I went for classes (my penultimate day!), had a department meeting, decided to have dinner with Hui Sin tomorrow evening, worked on my vocabulary building and performed my duty as a receptionist.

So anyway, I'm really, really nervous about the upcoming seminar. Yikes! Even though I'm a co-speaker, I'm still inexperienced. I know where my level lies. And its not with the cream of the crop. I'll get there someday. Its a vow that I'm making to myself.

I'm currently drinking from a bottle which I hope is mine *praying hard*
It would be exceedingly revolting should it belong to another :X

Tomorrow I shall stay at the British Council for as long as I can, and fully maximise my membership benefits. Its my last chance to use the facilities available there, and I will make sure that I do not waste my parents' money.

It's gonna be my last day there (how time flies!), and I might miss my classmates :)

Throughout the duration of my course, I've met loads of new people, and even though the experience was a memorable one, the course failed to meet my expectations. It was very demanding financially. Uh-uh, not my type :/

Chinese New Year is coming to an end soon. The next big thing that I'll be looking forward to is probably TTC's exam seminar. Its so ironic, isn't it? My being a graduate and attending a seminar. Somehow, I feel underqualified in comparison to others.

But really, there are plenty of heart warming moments from my teaching experience (should it suffice to be considered as experience :/). Its amazing to watch a sleepy student perk up when I begin a story, or see their faces screwed in concentration (this happens VERY occasionally), or even watch their eyes light up when something amuses them. And they are very easily amused x)

What really astounds me is that some of them actually hand in their homework. Naturally, only the minority do so. I always tell them that if they want to make my life difficult, they'd do their homework. But much to my surprise, it doesn't work. I had never handed in my homework when I was a student myself, therefore I'd be foolish to expect that of my students.

I know, I know. I'm such a bad role model x)

That also probably explains why my maths is atrocious; to the extent that I'd need a calculator for everything! Which totally sucks when I don't have a calculator -- where's that bloody phone??! -- PLEASE excuse my language.

Now I'm dreading SPM results day. I don't think that I'll do brilliantly -- I'd never aced government examinations before, and I doubt that I'd do so this time. I didn't really study for SPM anyway, as I was extremely laidback during my secondary school days.

I don't regret my lifestyle then. Not yet.

Till next time, goodbye! :)

恭喜发财, 财源滚来!

I have a big, fat cold sore on my lip.
Which also means that I CAN give you herpes.

Haha!

Yesterday was absolutely fantastic!! It was a great morning with Yeen Yin and Rou Xin, and an amazing day later on with the band buddies. Well, it felt that way to me :)

It was a great deal of fun catching up with them people. Everyone looked different in some way or another. The girls' fashion sense had just zoomed up the meter. Awesome possum! We're finding ourselves already. Soon, we shall all bid farewell to those awkward teenage years and embrace adulthood.

And, yesterday, fond memories resurfaced themselves, and we chattered away as if we'd never been separated. There were no awkward moments, no struggling to find topics, no huge blank pauses.

Distance makes us treasure our friends more.

With everyone going their separate ways soon, it would be difficult, if not altogether impossible to have another reunion or gathering. Those were the days. I already feel a wave of nostalgia. I should have treasured my high school moments more.

It is so ironic that, when we're at school, we crave to get out of it. The bolder ones would play truant whenever opportunity arises, and the rest would just dream about the last bell sounding during morning assemblies.

I want to go back to school. I want to be surrounded by my buddies, have my clarinet available to me whenever I feel like it, hear teachers droning on about history and maths and have curry potatoes during recess to make my day more bearable.

Memory lane...
See what it does to you?

Still, this is life. It is part and parcel of growing up. And however hard we wish to visit Neverland, reality is in our way. It is the hugest obstacle of human life, and hits at us the hardest when we expect otherwise.

***

I'm very very sorry, Karluis. Sorry for ditching you all the time. Things could be better if I could drive. I really have no mode of transportation, but with all that said, I won't be as audacious as to ask for your forgiveness. I don't deserve that!

I have a conscience.

Today I watched Avatar. Like, finally.
The movie was awesome, by the way. Even though its a tad too lengthy for my liking (I need to empty my bladder!)... but Avatar certainly outdoes The Toothfairy. No doubts here!

Too bad I have a curfew today. Well, it wasn't exactly a curfew, just a promise I made to my mom. So tonight I didn't get to have a nice nice dinner. BOO. And this is the result of my being home late yesterday. Which wasn't very late, if you look back at my track record. I was home before 12am anyway. Pfft. Parents!

Classes resume tomorrow and ends on Tuesday. I have an awesome week to look forward to! This is the life, man! :)

FONCUSION

He asked me out.
OHMIGOD.

I'm just plain confused here. I don't even know whether I should be elated.

Its a whirlwind of emotions that I feel right now.

I see colours flashing by, but none stopping by long enough for me to identify them. I can't get in touch with my inner self, and I don't know what I really want.

Am I thinking too far ahead? Or should I be thinking this way?

I want to be mentally prepared for anything that is tossed in my way. I don't want to take life one step at a time. I'm not like that anymore. I make plans, and I try my best to execute them.

I'm not the same person I was a year back.

I don't pick out my yee sang any longer. I'm far past that stage.

I consume platefuls of food as opposed to those tentative bites I made last time.

Food is becoming a form of enjoyment to me, thanks to a certain someone.

My anorexic-like food consumption amount is close to being non-existent now.

I smile, this time a genuine one. Not because I feel obliged to.

I laugh, only because I want to, and not to please others.

I tear, after a long day of labour, in which staring at the computer for too long strains my eyes; and not because of stress, fatigue and anger -- all balled up into a tight bundle.

Somehow, I managed to get through all these. And most surprisingly, I realised that I might not have done it without those little words of encouragement, small talk and those beaming rays of optimism.

I feel gratuity, but is there anything more lurking behind that?

That's worth a thought, you know.

I am undecided. Still.

NOTE TO SELF

  1. Cut nails!
  2. Complete notes
  3. Buy reload
  4. Clear up my table
  5. Get started on my vocabulary building!
  6. Change blogskin
Hmm that's all for now.

My Chinese New Year has boring with a capital B. I've only visited 2 houses, which are my paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents houses. And because of that, I've received only 3 angpaus, which will go back to my mother "I am the one giving out angpaus here so its only fair that I get them back!".

Life. Anyway I've purchased a dress and 6 pairs of earrings with my salary. It rocks socks, man, to be buying stuff with your hard earned cash! And its worth mentioning that I still get that thrill from buying things :D

In the past I'd used to torture myself for spending money. I would be thinking of the money spent instead of the goods exchanged for cash (which is really a better substitute for "buying") and that would torment me mentally.

Now, its vice versa. I'd keep on thinking of my purchases and ignore the fact that I've spent a fifth of my salary on them and get that cheap thrill. Well buying new things has a lasting effect on me. For one, the endorphins will just surface themselves each time I think about my fruitful shopping expeditions. That leaves me feeling elated and on a high.

Shopping therapy -- it sure works for me!

Still, the only reason why I went all out to get a dress is because my awesome possum shopping buddy Kai Foong is back from NS for Chinese New Year! I will NOT attempt purchasing a dress without his (or my mom's) presence. My mom because she'll be paying for it, therefore I need not worry, and Kai Foong -- well, simply because he has excellent taste.

So so so, recently I've been watching this Hong Kong drama called 老友狗狗, which is really nice and doggish. Its been my one source of entertainment during the CNY break, because my computer failed to live up to my expectations. And the sad truth is, I don't even have high expectations!

By the way I hate my blogskin now. Nevermind that I've spent so much time searching for the photos and editing, but I'm just plain bored of it. Its so... DULL. Ugh I'll do something about it in the near future, and that's for sure!

So, Karluis, I hope that you'll be entertained by this (even if its for a mere 5 minutes...) and just in case I forget to link you again...

TO DO LIST: Link Karluis!!!

Haha!

Go ahead, try deciphering me.

Yesterday I was feeling real down. No thanks to the parents. Come on lah, I've just only gotten my paycheck and that's how you guys talk to me. Of rolling eyes and heated arguments, it was pretty ugly.

Still, thank you for trying to cheer me up. You know who you are.

It'd been eons since I'd last had a late night conversation. And you know what? Its pretty nice.

I don't know what is my mom's problem, seriously. She is so easily brainwashed by others (AND NOT ME!). She actually suggested that I study FISHERIES. Fickle. I'm amazed at the way her mind works. PUZZLING.

Classes are oklah. I don't feel as if I'm learning that much. So sorry if I'm too pro. And no, I'm not trying to be, or sound cocky over here. Its just that I should be getting in more for what I'm paying. I tell you, my students at TTC are so lucky. What I'm paying a day is MORE than what they fork out PER MONTH.

My course costs RM27.34 per hour, and they only pay RM15 per hour. You do the math.

Today is my sister's birthday. I'd already gave her her present. I gave her twenty percent of my total salary (don't ask how much I'm getting la) so she's one lucky person.

Oh, and I want to go shopping. I want to buy a dress. Just for the fun of it x) And of late, my appetite's been growing. I don't think that I'm THAT easily influenced! But yes, I've been eating far more. And I ate all of my Yee Sang up during Annual Dinner. Usually I only select bits to consume. Hmmm...

Still, my weight is no proof of my eating habits! And for that, I'm eating like a glutton. Junk food and chocolates all the way. Heavenly!

Last Sunday I went to Miaw's place for dinner and I had a second helping of spaghetti to an already overloaded plate. Filled to the brim, literally. But it was great. Awesome, even! I can't wait to go out on Friday with my old classmates!! I love them so much, man! (Except for Q la. Not THAT much xD)

Moody moody

To date, teaching has been loads of fun. Except that sometimes its really demanding. I'm not some automatic story-telling machine lah, kids! But I try my best to fulfill your requests.

And those pesky Form 1s exhaust me. Every second I've got to make sure that no one is sneaking out of the room. I literally had to block the door or else they would crawl from under the table and out. UGHHH. Dream come true, no?

Sometimes, though, I feel left out. I don't get those pillow throwing games. And I don't get all that talk about relationships and Chinese books. With that, I step into solitude. Well, just sometimes.

Mealtimes are okay. Just that it kinda sucks when I have to eat alone.

I'm being plain emo right now. Sorry about that :/

The Final Day... then its freedom!

I love teaching. I get the job satisfaction from it, which my mom claims to be only secondary (she is materialistic in nature, and I was once like that too :X).

I'm so happy these days -- elated yet tired. I work ungodly hours, or so I think xD

Yesterday I'd worked for 11 hours. That was really exhausting, man. 8 hours at the firm facing the computer and getting dehydrated (my eyes, that is) and 3 hours scaring students out of their wits with my stories. Naturally, I also taught what I was supposed to. I'm very responsible okay. But admittedly, it is fun watching their facial expressions at the scary bits. Woopsie I revealed too much x)

My to-do list is getting shorter by the day and that makes me glad. I feel an inexplainable sense of accomplishment each time I mark the box with a tick. Happy, happy!

If my optimism is rubbing you up the wrong way, then I'm sorry. Happiness is supposed to be contagious, and I'm only trying to make you happy. Though I doubt whether it'd work la xD

And sometimes -- no, MOST of the time I wish that I weren't so fish-brained. My memory is like a sieve :/ It makes it all really difficult for me. As in I can't seem to locate things that was just in sight seconds ago. I suspect that its due to my lack of sleep. (Yes, yes, only trying to comfort myself here right now. SIGHHH.)

I miss the cat alot too. And the frog and chicken too.

The cat and the frog are in college, and the chicken is in NS. We're all busy people, though much too preoccupied for my liking.

Oh well. I'll be busy at work too. ITS MY LAST DAY MAN!! :D

And how I wish that it was the weekend...

Today was another boring day at the auditing firm. But when I realised that my colleagues were going to Kanna (they call it mamak),
I was super duper happy!

I was really very happy!

Haha!

Very happy!

I had takeaway maggi goreng without veggies plus chicken (trust me, this chicken bit isn't my idea. I now hold a high disregard for bones, especially tiny ones which resemble edible parts. No elaboration required there, huh). So whilst my colleagues were at Kanna eating, I was at TTC resting. And talking afterward. I crave human company. Its not that I don't get that at work, just that the crowd at work are... much older. There's this age gap thing (let's overlook the language barrier for now, for I do not want to stir up racist issues, even though there's nothing racist about this) which makes communication difficult.

Well, some of them play Mafia Wars though.

STILL, its not really a strong argument in here.

Hmm, so I'd spent the entire morning dealing with the filing cabinet and silently cursing the table (it hates me) each time I knocked my big toe into it. OUCH, man. That table's legs has sharp ends. Anyway its now plastered in cellophane tape (the doing of yours truly), but I doubt that it'd make much difference >.<

And I'd practically gotten scratched by the filing cabinet all over my hands (it hates me too!!). I am now fully convinced that I am simply not cut out for this kind of work. I was the first to leave today (yet again!).

In addition to those little mishaps that I've had today, my lips are peeling. No thanks to the air conditioner! The saddest part is, my fingers seem to have their own mind. So it left me with the only option of nursing a heavily bleeding lip. Double ouch. I'm like some kind of walking disaster machine. No matter where I go, I'll injure myself. Somehow =/

Anyway, I'm currently blogging at home because my mom is very unhappy over the fact that I've been eating out every night. So yeah. I'm trying my best to be filial. I'm making a lot of effort, seeing how much I'd prefer to go out.

And speaking of going out and staying out till late at night, I've lost contact with loads of my old pals. The drift has occurred, and I can once again assume the title of being clairvoyant. Somehow I have an uncanny knack of predicting things.

I could analyse you for yourself! Haha. Loads of people find my advice helpful, you know... but please, don't do a Karluis Quek and repeat yourself a thousand and ten times. Because, nice as I try to be, I'm not exactly renown for being patient. Heed those words!

When will it be over??

The sad truth is, I hate my job. My 9-6 job.

And so, my day begins at night.

Okay, so evening is more like it. But then again, night gives us a feel of mystery and sends unexplainable waves of thrills down you. Or is that just me??

To answer that question in your mind, should it ever surface, is "No, I don't party." Even though I'd love to. Its a very good stress reliever. But its not for me. Or so I think. If I'm not mistaken, its probably been a week since I'd last sat down with my family for dinner. I feel guilt oozing all over me already.

But, I'm having far to much fun to change my current lifestyle.

I feel really unfilial for staying out till 11pm every night. But then again, its worth it. Every single second after work. Really.

During work, I'll count the hours to lunch time impatiently, then count the hours to 6pm. Six is the magic word. It is the word of the fortnight (pardon the odd time period, because I just happen to be serving a 2 week sentence in the auditing firm) in my dictionary. And somehow, it's miraculous, the way I auto-recharge myself by just stepping into tutor room and drinking in the atmosphere.

You know, I think that I should do something more constructive in future whenever I'm at TTC. Such as reading those thick grammar books or something likewise. If I stopped learning, I'll age. Mentally, that is. But closely tailed physically.

What I don't like about my job is the workload. It seems like I can never finish my job. Because each time I proudly present something completed, I'm given a new pile of work to complete. And that is just daunting. Besides that, I do not get any satisfaction from it. I won't feel accomplished. Not at all. Because those tasks I'm assigned to are much to menial for even me. And that's saying something.

The thing that irks me the most is that I do not get to use my brain at all!!!

That seriously sucks. To those out there in college, embrace your college life. Embrace your youth. And use your brains, for goodness' sake.

Yesterday I went back home at 11pm too. It was tutors day out and we went for a movie and dinner. Then I began my massive printing job. To get 37 copies of literature supplements done. It was an attempt all right. Not a very successful one, however. I almost tore my hair out -- it was just so... infuriating.

On Saturday I met English Department's mystery man Eu Chern. After so long. I went back home at 12.30am on that night because it was pretty hard to refuse Shi Yun's invitation to her house. I didn't have dinner okay, so that was über tempting!!

I feel that my blogging style seems somewhat dictative. How queer. Anyway I really shouldn't procrastinate anymore. I have to get down to correcting my students' essays and homework!! (Note to self: Do it, Stephanie!) The future doctors Say Chiew and Wei Quan are really bad company when I'm trying to de-procrastinate myself! xD

Gosh I'm exhausted. I've maxed myself out for today, and I look forward to... tomorrow evening!!! Haha. Goodnight and goodbye, people. I dread work by the way. God please help me and make this week come to an end soon, so I can kiss my job at the auditing firm goodbye! I wonder how my colleagues managed to stay on for so long, really.

Its amazing you know, once you think about it. They dread it more than I do. They can't wait to go home every single day, but just don't want to be the first to do so. So I willingly take that honour and saunter out of the office at six on the dot. That gives me an adrenaline rush. I know it sounds like its no biggie, but then again, you're not working at an auditing firm. So yeah :)

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

I have, a strong distaste towards number-related jobs.

After working at an auditing firm for merely two days, I'm dead set AGAINST being an auditor or an accountant.

My colleagues favorite part of the job is -- are you ready? -- LUNCH HOUR.

WTH right. After going through so many obstacles in obtaining their degrees.

Reality shocked me. All of a sudden, I feel so... näive.

I do not see myself working my ass off like this for a living. The downside of being an auditor is that there are no fixed job hours for you. Everyone enters at the same time, yet leave at different hours. Of course, you're required to work for a minimum of 8 hours a day.

Don't finish your work, don't go home.

Mr. Tee's son is also my colleague. We came in on the same day! Haha. Today Mr. Tee dropped by the office because he needed to smoothen out some problem with his car. My job is very mundane. I'm just doing computer filing, information storage and recording income tax stuff. I hope that I can make it through my two weeks.

I am the least organized person I know, and ironically, here am I doing this job. The job of neat freaks, so I call it. It totally contradicts my character. Look at the English Department stuff and you'll know that I was there. However, I may not necessarily admit that it was my doing! But alot of the mess was my fault xD

Oh well. But I'm learning stuff. So it did not defeat my initial purpose of signing myself up for this terror ride. Okay that line was an exaggeration, full stop. Anyhow, this year is turning out to be better than I'd expected! I feel so... productive. *bigwidesmile*

And every day after work, I'll go to TTC to recharge my human battery. It doesn't take long -- a mere 5 minutes would do the job. I really like my job there, and I'm liking it more by the day :)

Tomorrow I'm on leave from my auditing firm job as I have classes at TTC. My dear Form 3 students. Joy. I hope that the cough won't return. But really, I secretly prefer that class of mine over other classes. That class which made me ill ;)

My to do list is endless. I'd drafted it out whilst waiting for the files to copy this afternoon xD So far I've done nothing on the list. Except for go TTC and find an essay book. Useless book. It doesn't count either. I have notes for 2 forms to be completed by this Friday. And a full time job and part time jobs to cope with.

I wonder how will I manage. I hope I can manage.

Packed timetable O_O!

Hmm, so my weekend was great, and Friday was awesome! I'll start about Friday then. It was Gerko Day in CHS. I went back with Shu Ying after completing my placement test at the British Council (56/65, boo!) and admired the newly renovated bandroom. What a sight to behold. LOL. I mean it la.

Then I went back to TTC to play computer. It was so boring that I sat in Yew Ho's class for an hour. Well that wasn't as boring as the computer. Haha. I just craved human company. Then I went shopping with Miaw for her college clothes. He mother was complaining about the state of her wardrobe and her daily attire. What a good reason to go shopping!

I know I sound so boring and monotonous right now. Bear with me or quit reading lah. So anyway, I had dinner with Miaw, her brother and Saw Jin at the Taman Desa pasar malam. Asam Laksa for me with the incurable cough. *coughcough*

Overall, it was a pretty eventful day. I learned how to play Chinese Chess from Miaw's bro and Saw Jin. Boys over Flowers bored them. Well, Miaw too. They stoned throughout the show and complained of bad commercials. *coughRibenacough*

So that was my Friday. My Saturday was spent at TTC. Had a seafood dinner at night with a family friend. Their treat. I passed on Alaskan Crab, finding out much later that it costs close to RM1000 a crab. That was really freaky. Still, I don't fancy seafood much and I took mouse-sized bites throughout the night.

I missed You Tian's wedding dinner boohoo. So much for my dear mom "you're not feeling well and you're teaching 5 hours on Saturday and we have a dinner tonight". Hmm, it was pretty hard to find a comeback for that.

Oh well. I spent today sleeping, so it went by pretty uneventful. I love sleeping, man. I'm such a pig. Oink!

x) Busted.

Till next time!

Filled to the brim with happiness :)

Today I've been using the computer for the entire day. Since morning till now. Well this morning my computer gave way, so I went to TTC to use the computer x)

I love TTC's computers!! They're all so speedy and responsive. Me likey! :D

So yeah, I changed my blogskin again. Its not complete yet no thanks to my dysfunctional Photoshop. It worked okay just now!!! Grr.

I'm still coughing and sniffing. Its not going away anytime soon. Pout. I really wanna make a quick recovery so I can enjoy everything better.

Yesterday I went to The Star's Edufair with my parents. Saw Miaw and friend, Karluis, Hui Sin, Nicholas, Kok Shien and Soo Yi Wei. Since Miaw was pretty preoccupied, I was stuck with Karluis. Oklah I don't mean to sound so bad la. He did accompany my parents and I around KL, cross roads during green lights and sweat like a cow (all because he was so smart to wear two shirts). And he did treat me to a drink at San Francisco's Coffee House.

Went home with Miaw and had dinner with her. I enjoy spending time with my bestie a lot! She was doing spring cleaning, and so, I brought home quite a lot of her rubbish. She is an awesome teacher! Haha. Her new Cambodian maid knows how to greet my mom! In English!! I'm super impressed.

I'm still all hyped up over yesterday! It was really fun... even the waiting-for-Karluis-impatiently-outside-a-shop episode. Oh well. Good time sure flies!

Ooh btw the cat passed her undang!! :D
Congratulations, my dear!

busy bee

Being busy is fun, you know. Just so you know :P

I am currently teaching at TTC and probably starting on a new job soon. I'm not entering college or doing anything about my studies till I get my results, so now life is awesome for me!

My blog will be close to dead anyway since I won't have the time to update. Haha so I'm just updating for the sake of updating now. I actually find blogging a waste of time anyway. Well, these days lar.

And I realised that Karluis is a good chat buddy. Somehow. LOL!

Boredom

I'm so bored these days lahhh. I have nothing to do, nothing to occupy my time with, nothing in mind -- BAHH. I think that boredom sucks more than those weary marching band days. I think.

Maybe I'll spend my Sunday in the library? I DON'T KNOW.

Aimlessness and boredom is making my life hell. I should start on my reading, though. I've never gotten around to finishing Pride and Prejudice because the text were too tiny in my version! And there's Sense and Sensibility, The Gift, Sherlock Holmes...

Hmm I know where to start already ;D

Singapore, Singapore!

YO!
I'm back from Singapore and am very happy with Malaysia. Wooots! Everything suddenly seems way more economical and affordable.

If only I could split myself into two, I'd love to go to Genting as well. But as I can't, oh well, I'm fine with it.

Singapore was good. Not brilliantly-good, not fantastically-good, but good enough for enjoyment. I didn't get to go for much sightseeing and that was really disappointing. Hence the statement.

However I did meet plenty of people -- many of them are simply lovely!
Note: Many, not all x)

We saw Chang Hong too! Yuee Sun, please don't get jealous. You're not the only one who thinks that she's awesome, haha! Orchard road at night looks fab! The only downside of it all was the crowd -- it was H.U.G.E.. Oh, and smokers too. Smokers suck big time.

I had tons of fun during my last night in Singapore! The party JJC organized was an absolute blast! It topped prom night, no doubt. Because our attire was super comfy. I am all for partying in my slippers. My feet didn't hurt. I didn't have to look awesome to feel that.

In a nutshell, Singapore was good. Ugh, I'm repeating myself. Great, even. I still prefer Malaysian food (especially Malaysian Mamee monster!).

***

I didn't post up anything about prom. Photos are available at Facebook. It was nice and I'd especially enjoyed the girl time with Miaw! We had our hair done at a saloon for less than RM40 and my makeup is totally DIY. Don't get jealous lah, I'm sure those who had theirs done professionally would look better. So yeah :)

Since everyone was gonna wear black or white, I'd decided to ditch the black dress I'd bought beforehand. I'll think of it as a future investment (quote Sophie Kinsella). My mom bought me a purple dress (its my favorite colour, after all :D) and it looked okay on me.

I'd given up on the "perfect dress" idea, by the way. It seems pretty impossible to me now. But then again, now I do know more about where to go to get good dresses. And and and... I'd gotten my 3 inch stilettos! Woots! It was worth it. Worth every single cent. Because they didn't disappoint me and stayed intact throughout the night!

Kai Foong's shoe very sad case lor. LOL! Wai Yeen looked super smart! As if he's some kinda businessman (currently in the making) already. So that marks the end of my high school life. I feel a little nostalgic, but that's only normal. I'm reading to leave everything for a new beginning already! Even though now I feel as if I need a compass really badly... and someone to teach me how to read it.

Waiting for graduation...

I MISS REDBOX.

Can't wait till tomorrow! Lalaleee~ I'm more interested in the part after school, haha. Oh this year has been good to me... but nevertheless bumpy along the ride.

We'd gotten our yearbooks today!! Wheee~ Class page looking good! Not perfect, but good enough. Haha. Those photos bring memories of those days alive. Those were the days, man. Not as much stress as now and much more fun-filled!

Phase 2 of life starts soon.

I've gotta buck up. SPM SPM SPM. Those dreary words haunt me. I can't throw everything into the sky and depend on lady luck. Not anymore. Even so, I'll always, always try my best.

Personally, I'm not too pleased with the choice of colour for the cover of the yearbook... but I'll let it slide. Its in an unattractive shade of green, which I'm really NOT keen on. Anyway its content that matters most (:

I'm so convincing that I'd succeeded in convincing myself.

But in reality, looks DO matter. A lot, in fact.

And I miss a certain someone QUITE badly. Its time to let go yet, no?

Quote Joyce (accurately, this time xD):
All ugly people are vain but not all vain people are ugly.

To those ugly people who aren't vain, you know who to find lah xD

Good luck, CYY. You know I love you banyak banyak. Yet you love me less than someone! But I'll not hold a grudge against you for this, because this is so you xD

Farewell party come come soon!

I can't wait till farewell party! I hope that there're things to eat... if not then Alyssa or the other O.C.s should be obliged to inform me beforehand so that I can get my fill of maggi goreng at Kanna's in the morning. Yum, maggi goreng :)

I have awesome presents for my dear clarinetists! Zip-a-dee-doo-dah~~

Well, I L-O-V-E those things I'd gotten you guys, so naturally, they're awesome. And I'll not be the least offended if you were to return the presents to me (no refund, sorry!) because I'd gladly take it for myself :D

Poor Miaw had an allergy attack this morning. She is now under self quarantine. Joking la, she is on sick leave. On the last 2 days of school too. Boo! This is a very sad end to secondary school life indeed. No more eyeing the cheese lover, sigh.

I haven't been blogging nor twittering for ages. However, I've been playing Mafia Wars daily -- until yesterday. This is so sad. I have wasted an energy pack, sobsob.

But I have been attending numerous tuition classes of late. I am seeing improvement in my dismal add maths. Hurray! There're like one, two, three... TWELVE MORE SUBJECTS to work on for those praiseworthy A+s! As I think of this sad fact, my world turns bleak almost instantaneously.

REALLY!

My form of entertainment in school these days are revision and the occasional gossip! Some people are acting very disgustingly in class and it is such a turnoff. Goodness. I can tolerate many things, but not whiny voices, annoying cackles and snide comments from an alien (quote Pn. Joyce). The audacity of this person!

I am left speechless. Literally.

I like Joyce's theory after she made amendments to it. Her theory is: ugly people are vain, and ironically, not all beautiful people are.

But if her theory is wrong, she will be wronged... because the ugly people who aren't vain will hate her for making that statement! Haha.

SCHOOL. IS. FUN.

Yay! 2 more days, 2 more days.
